Friends of Edisto Beach

The Friends of Edisto Beach was formed to support positive
initiatives by the Town of Edisto Beach. We work to elect
people of vision who will vote to protect the current residents
from rampant development. We believe our current zoning,
height limits, and environmental policies are working well.

We do not desire additional multi family housing, we oppose hotels,
motels and further increases in density of development.

We believe Edisto Beach is and should be a family beach... we
should avoid over commercialization while maintaining
moderate taxation. We support the development of beach
access, parks, and efforts to improve quality of life.

Friends of Edisto Beach Participates in
Bell Buoy Clean Up

On Saturday May 10th FEB along with four other
Beach and Island Organizations helped clean up the
new Bell Buoy Park for use as a parking area during
the Governor's Cup Bill fishing Tournament.

According to President Bob Dennis, "We felt the need to
see that visitors to our beach saw the potential of this piece
of property. While the Town is working hard to make
the property safe, there is no reason uses like this can't
begin to give us a return on the investment we have made."
