Protecting the Gateway to the ACE Basin

Our purpose is to preserve and protect Edisto Island.

We focus on
maintaining clean air, clean water,
our rural agricultural lifestyle,
and enhancing our
economy by preserving the
natural resources that attract visitors to our island.

1) we are the designated organization responsible for implementing the
corridor management plan for the Edisto Island National Scenic Byway;

2) we assist in maintaining the volunteer program at Botany Bay WMA and
providing information to the public.

3) we are the non-profit partner for Edisto Pride -
Edisto's Keep America Beautiful organization -
fighting litter to keep our
island green & clean.

4) we provide input to both Colleton and
Charleston County
on zoning and land management issues
affecting the island.
